The Darwinian Evolution of Cancer Consortium (DarEvCan – DEC) is an interdisciplinary research network dedicated to increasing our understanding of cancer susceptibility and carcinogenesis, and improving cancer therapy. The DEC is ten research institutes based in France that integrate evolutionary theory, mathematics, cell biology and clinical research with the goals of scientific progress, improved anti-cancer therapies, and communication with scientists and the general public. We welcome association with international research institutes that are interested in how evolutionary biology can contribute to our knowledge of cancer.
